Re: Steamcast sending VPS CPU to 100%

Thanks Max Is there a way to stop steamcast from listening for incoming sources while used in relay mode? I've tried setting the SrcIP in the config to 127.0.0.1 so it only accepts local sources. But it doesn't work. Most of the time I can stop this problem with firewall settings at the VPS provider...

Re: Steamcast sending VPS CPU to 100%

Hi guys, I seemed to have worked out my issue myself. Steamcast keeps listening on the port +1 even if you are using it in relay mode for everything. Why people are only now trying to stream using my server is a mystery. This wasnt an issue for years before. When attempting to connect my server reje...

Steamcast sending VPS CPU to 100%

Hi guys, Been running the Decennium 102 version of steamcast on windows server 2012 for a while now. Works great for ages then every so many weeks it will send the CPU to 100% and the vps sends me alarm emails. The fix has been to just reboot the vps as it boots so fast you hardly notice a glitch. B...

Re: iOS and Mac OSX

Hi KenSR, I'm no where near as good as others here with the exact reasons. But I can offer a suggestion or two.. Google chrome has decided to close off all standard ports not needed for browsing since vers 55.... this has caused a stack of people's non port 80 web players to not work. Then apple has...

Re: last played

This is why i mentioned the old way it was done with toolbox v1. This works even today on exactly the same host. I know the old way was pulling from toolbox and this is pulling from the steamcast server itself. Do i take it that there is something stopping the script talking on port 8000 out from th...

Re: last played

Thanks max..... I'll setup a separate instance of radio toolbox v2 on my office pc here.....then ask it to call for details from the same box i'm trying to point the script at... this will prove the information needed can be seen from the outside world..... currently steamcast and radio toolbox v2 a...

Re: last played

ok i will investigate on the website host end.... does the fact the new radio toolbox get it's stats from the same steamcast server mean its working on the steamcast server end? it's looking for the same /admin/stats.xml isn't it?

Re: last played

I'm confused Max... are you saying the firewall "where the steamcast is" needs to know that php wants to talk to the steamcast server? I did not know you needed to do that as once you opened port 8000 I figured it didn't matter what was on it. Or do you mean the other end "where the script is" on my...

Re: last played

All I get is -- this failed :( Should i see the hits from the script turning up in the server event log? Because I think it isn't hitting the server. I can see radio toolbox turning up in the event log and it is looking at admin/status.xml -- i think your script is looking for json -- if that was th...

Re: last played

Sorry Jay, I'm trying to get the "now playing" scripts that are posted on other topics in the steamcast section to work. The ones that pull from the steamcast server itself... I only used the old radio toolbox v1 as an example of what level i'm at... I'm no code wizz and had no issues getting that o...

Hi Guys, I'm having no end of trouble trying to get the "now playing etc" scripts found (on other posts) to work. I was left wondering if it was me so I dusted off the old radio toolbox (V1) and installed php to my website. It worked first go. Is there are "php for dummies" zip file handy somewhere ...
