Bean-Net has, arguably, the best servers. I know the CEO of Bean-Net, LLC personally, and I can tell you that he doesn't fcuk around :)

Well, if you're just using it for friends, DSL/Cable can support SHOUTcast for about 5 users at 32 kbps. So you can just use SHOUTcast..it's free and it's easy to configure/set up.

Just set your DSP plugin's input method to "Soundcard Input". You'll have to play around with your Windows Playback/Recording mixer a bit to get the perfect mix of voice and background music. If you just want voice, set it to soundcard input and bring the BG music meter all the way down to...

Phone-In/Call-In Shows

Hi. Currently I stream on SHOUTcast. To talk, I use a Shure SM58 (mic) and a Behringer EuroRack UB1204FX-PRO (mixer).

I've heard people do call-in shows before, but I'm not sure how to channel my phone into the mixer so I can output it to SHOUTcast.

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions?

Now my station actually has a bot that you can set to record, zip, and FTP the fil...

Phone-In

Hey

I want to do a Phone-In segment for a show I participate in...I'm currently using a mixer and an analog microphone plugged into my computer to do my bidding.

Is there a phone I can buy that has a mic (XRM) output on it? If not, how do the guys on FM radio do their phone-in shows?
