Re: Problem connecting to steamcast from local network. (Steamcast + Ezstream or Ices)

Hi,

We will never ask for access to your VPS. Nor will we accept such access.

What we'll need to know is what applications and versions of said applications you are using. Also what operating system are you using?

Re: Problem connecting to steamcast from local network. (Steamcast + Ezstream or Ices)

We may have to test if your source is doing something new. It should try to push ICE protocol for sending the source. But it appears Steamcast believes its trying to instead listen to the stream instead.

Re: Problem connecting to steamcast from local network. (Steamcast + Ezstream or Ices)

Well, it appears my original post was then correct. The warning there is stating that some other program on your machine is using port 8000 and 8001. Are you sure there aren't multiple instances of Steamcast running? Or that another program doesn't have those ports?

Re: Stream - notifier track titel change by mail

Hi, Its listed in the Notifier's dialog as "Audio Check Result Change". There isn't a template for it so you'll have to write your own. The variables are: %_STATION_AUDIO_CHECK_SUCCESS_% - Replaces with "Success" or "Failure" %_STATION_AUDIO_DBV_RIGHT_% - dBV Right %_STATION_AUDIO_DBV_LEFT_% - dBV L...

Re: Stream - notifier track titel change by mail

Hi, Regarding using GMail. I was able to use GMail SMTP just fine now. It appears you have to use the TLS port (587) instead of the SSL port. So in your notifier you should have it set to: SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com SMTP Port: 587 Use SSL: Checked. Edit: Also to note, if you use two factor authenti...

Re: Stream - notifier track titel change by mail

Hi, Most likely this is caused by the SMTP rejecting the message. Restrictions on SMTP have become more severe in recent times due to spammers. I will add some code to Radio Toolbox to recognize these conditions and let you know of it. Right now the current release doesn't recognize when the SMTP se...

Re: Can't configure anything

Did you set MaxRequestBufferSize or UploadLimit in steamcast.conf? Particularly UploadLimit is your most likely cause of this issue.

Re: Can't configure anything

Can you try finding "Recv Failed: Client Trying to send more than" in your log file? There are two configuration values that can cause the error, "MaxRequestBufferSize", and "UploadLimit". These are limits on how much data a web client can send to Steamcast before it stops the request. MaxRequestBuf...

Re: Mountpoint moved by one

Make sure you reuse the exact same number for a mount point. So, for example, "SourceMount45=/bluford8436" will always be mount number 45. Unless you are shutting that mount down. Also, Steamcast does not expect or care if the mount numbers are not in order or if they are random numbers. The only re...

Re: Mountpoint moved by one

Hi, What could be going on is if the mount point number changes then it could cause conflicts. This is due to the way Steamcast is processing the configuration reload. It does it line by line and does not take down previous mounts using that mount point. I will see about making a more robust solutio...

Re: iOS and Mac OSX

Hi,

HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) is an Apple method for transfer of audio/video formats. Apple unfortunately does love their own proprietary work and has in the past often refused to implement more generic solutions.

I will see about implementing HLS provided we can do so.

Re: Mountpoint moved by one

Hi,

Is this the Steamcast server you are using to reload the configuration whenever you want to use a new mount point? If so, are you sure that the numbers for the mount haven't accidentally been changed?

Re: iOS and Mac OSX

Hi, The problem is most likely that the browser being used does not support the audio codec the stream is using. Browsers implement audio codecs on their own provided they gain the licenses for it. Steamcast itself does not prevent iOS or Mac OS X from receiving audio. However, the browser must supp...

Re: Adding mountpoints without kicking listeners

IPv6 is already supported. If you want Steamcast to host on IPv6 just add another ServIP entry in the config. Like so... ServIP=198.50.155.189 ServIP=2607:5300:204:4133::1 Do note that you will have to restart Steamcast to change what IPs and ports its listening on. What I was saying is some reverse...
