It worked once I opened the .pls file and inserted the link to the source file in Toolbox.

I'm having the same issue with my servers. I am unable to find out how to make it work to get status.
RadioMonitor from Wavestreaming are able to show both listener info and metadata from Shoutcast 2-servers even those running 2.2.1.

Two of the channels using Icecast were running: RadioServer1 and Icecast 2.3.2

I'm having issues with Icecast-servers only showing up with 0 listeners. I am able to get the title, and when I visit the status page using the browser I see the listener count, but the Toolbox isn't.
