I am not sure what is in your xml sheet but you would probably need to poll it for changes unless it shows the time left for the song. An application can poll then submit the changes by url to the server. I am not aware of any application that does this though. As it is a fairly trivial process ...

if the source is in shoutcast compatibility mode then the username is not used from the encoder. Just set this to yes and change the username to whatever you want. Your encoding tools should work fine so long as the password is correct on the encoder side.

SourceBackup needs to be an existing mount such as /live.mp3

The backup mount must have the same encoding/codec settings as the original mount.

yea something on the AOL network has changed and apparently there is a network issue that steamcast is not handling very well.

make sure that your passwords and usernames are completely unique for all mounts and the admin account.

Is there anything in your includes.php file? This file should be set as world writable the rest can be set read/execute.

There are no plans to support jetcast. From what I have seen jetcast appears to be a dead project.
