your auth file is checked on each new users visit, this was done by design so you could automate user authentication through other means outside of steamcast's panel.

Due to the fact that all of my radio toolbox projects are side projects they take a backseat to paying jobs and projects. Therefore ...

well lame will allow you alot of flexibility with regard to how your tracks are encoded, as I said it sounds like sc_trans is just having a problem with the way it is encoded.

The signature is just php :)

I have a similar one that works with radio toolbox in the documentation FAQ.

sounds like the sample rate isn't converting correctly or that it is trying to translate a mono stream to stereo and doing it incorrectly. Try re-encoding the song to the same sample rate and channel setting as the actual stream.

BTW I had nothing to do with the sc_trans project, this is a Nullsoft ...

read the docs, I have an example of how you would add multiple mount points, each mount can be assigned it's own relay.

also for clarification, steamcast allows multiple relays from one instance, you do not need to do multiple instances to do multiple streams.

not sure never tested it. In the meantime you can use the SourceBackup option and apply another source or relay to that location.

The reason it is not included as a file option is it requires that steamcast know something about the file, this is why shoutcast has alot of issues with this feature ...

I am looking into adding both intro file and backup file capability, but it will take some time because I did not write it initially with these in mind. The problem is that I am trying to stay format independent and doing this means that I am becoming dependent on certain formats working a certain ...

I am not sure why you would think that because something is a file server it must run on port 80. Check the config lines of your favorite webserver and you will see that just like steamcast, Icecast, and SHOUTcast, it can be set to and will listen on any port.
