I also find errors in the logic that the lack of a listing at iTunes has anything to do with the economics of running a station. If anything it will just cost you more to list there as you will have more stream traffic on a non-revenue making model. Focus on your website and you will do fine.

You just need to make sure that you set your sourcemount is default. If it is please refer to the error log and make sure it is touching the shoutcast.com yp.

still get 404 not found, if you go to http://www.djgtronic.com/catcher.php however you get an internal server error, which means something is wrong with your php installation.

well for voice you can use low bitrates but you really should figure out what bitrate you want to broadcast at before you can know how much upload it would take.

Conservatively if you wanted to handle 50 listeners all at the same time at 16kbps you would need about 1Mbps connection or a T1.

yea that seems to be aflicting some Linux flavored OS's I have not ran across a server of my own that does it. Likely steamcast is just closing off the connection before it finishes outputing the HTML because the OS is flagging the connection which steamcast is just not handling correctly. I'll try ...

unfortunately most of those reports are useless to me and the code is multiplatform so adding debugging is a bit difficult. If I can find a good debug class to add I may do it at some point.

that is how many times a listener has slowed up so much that new bits of the stream overlap their current position in the buffer.

The end user experiences it as a skip forward in time.
