it only works with SHOUTcast style source tools like the SHOUTcast dsp.

basically the url is passed via the same way the song titles are

well the big reason is for encoder level cross platform capabilities, Icecast and SHOUTcast are different and as such I have to treat every encoder by the rules set forth in the config file. The reason it used to work was because it used to evaluate your username and password. With SourceIsSC on it ...

I understand but the problem comes in what to do, if you kick they are just going to come back and continue consuming that slot. I'll think on the underrun max, but for now it might be premature just because of the state of steamcast right now.

you should be able to kick ban as long as you are logged in as the admin and you are using a different pass for admin then you other encoders.

well for one thing, if you ever saw a listener with significantly more data rate then your source then you saw the bug in the average data rate. This was just bad design on my part. As all it did was take connect time and bytes recieved to figure that value.

yes you can do this. However, it will cost a bit more. You can set up a dedicated server to do this using a tool like ezstreamer or sc_trans which sources your shoutcast server at a service provider. You could also just talk to each provider and ask them if they offer such a service or know of ...

what I am saying is that Icecast doesn't support the last played feature. So it would be incomplete from the Radio Toolbox perspective.

Active url is basically the meta url of the stream which you can pass via a source tool while running live.

Re: Questions

Hey there Jay some cool things with the new steamcast but some questions.

1-the last played were it has the time the song was played (pretty cool) is there a chance that you may add that to RTB so people can see that on the web site ;-)
No, unfortunately Icecast doesn't support such a feature as ...
