well if I did that then there would be no point in beta testing. The idea is to understand the circumstances that cause such a thing to occur not to hard code it to never exceed that. If this is a bug I would never know of it if it were hidden purposefully.

Unless you actually see the listener ...

the skipping is due to steamcast not handling page seq fields. For some reason winamp doesn't need the server to do this, but libogg does.

Don't look too deeply into the average bitrate, ogg is a vbr codec so given time it should even out properly to your expected bitrate.

Yes but therein lies the problem. In order to list on shoutcast you must have content and unfortunately without a connected source you technically don't. When a listener attempts to tune in and some network problem exists between the server and your relay the listener will be dropped. I have to ...

mp3 encoders are available under most sourcing packages. There is no need to concern yourself with licensing if you use one of these tools. For aacPlus the only way to start broadcasting with that at this time is to use the orban encoder. www.orban.com

are your passwords for each source unique?

Also if you are using an icecast tool which does not give an option to change the username, then set the username on all sources to 'source', won't be neccessary in the next release but metadata changes won't work without it.

Also it was not clear, does ...

Finally figured this one out. The problem is your username is not matching up with what you have in the config. Many encoders are simply using 'source' as the username, so put that in for the username on all your sources and it should work.

Next version will ignore usernames when in SHOUTcast ...

Look under Current Stats in the Radio Toolbox application (ALT+C) and tell me what it says for Script Service.
