if it is feasible for a many different media clients to connect to it through a multicast system then I will definately consider it.

The jury is still out until I can stablize unicast side of the server.

radiotoolbox does not replace the existing web interface of your shoutcast server, it just provides an alternative one. I suggest you look through the documentation at http://www.radiotoolbox.com/docs/index.php?p_id=1

looks correct to me, and no the intro file would not play on the relay, if you want an intro file on the relay then you must specifically set one up.

yea because /;* is assumed to be /

so just set SourceMount=/something.nsv
and set SourceIsDefault=Yes

This will allow your stream to be found at /something.nsv
/
and
/;*

and the old sc way of /;anything.nsv will work

The reason that you cannot specify it is due to SHOUTcast YP directory ...

Re: q & requst

Hi,
why sc style url like http://localhost:9000/;bla.nsv not allowed?
i mean with ";" thing. i don't like idea changing linking urls due server change.

That should work, at least it worked when I tested it, if you could pm me a link to your server and i'll check it out. Otherwise listing in the ...

Thwarting Streamripping, is it really worth it? [Technical]

Intro
Ah yes, the age old issue of streamripping. It's become the new underground way to get music and with shoutcasting becoming so popular its simply swamped the Internet Radio Streams using the technology. Why has this happened? The simple answer is because SHOUTcast is easy to rip, not only ...

Make sure you let Radio Toolbox touch a few times before testing your scripts.

Thanks for the answer :)

1. The only problem I have with setting it to 11 songs and then showing the 10 is that I have the lastsong(i) (or whatever) thing on my page that shows the number of previous songs being listed. If I set it to 11 and only 10 show, that'd be weird. Is there a way to have it ...

Re: Lastsong and more Questions

1. I noticed that the current song also shows on the Last However Many Songs list. It's not really a recently played song, it's a currently playing song (go to http://airradio.net/inside/listen.php to see what I'm talking about if it's just me). I changed the number in the PHP from 0 to 1 (i=o to i ...

cancelled essentially means that radio toolbox was taking way too long to get status information, it was used to ensure that threads were not stuck in a dead lock. The best way to avoid this message is to up the touch interval and be sure that Radio Toolbox and the server you are gaining stats for ...

Currently the Steamcast server has no stats api, this is going to be fixed by release. Radio Toolbox by this very reason has no knowledge of it's existence. When I release Radio Toolbox v1.1.0 Steamcast should be supported at that point. Until then Steamcast should not really even be considered for ...
