It's in the FAQ, nothing is wrong, it's normal to get this if you do not have an account at log.radiotoolbox.com

Just an fyi, to see the full error, simply mouse over the text that you can see of the error and hold it in a single place for a little while, and it should give you the full error.

Do you have the option of hooking a source machine up next to the server on a LAN where the server is located? If so just do that and then with another machine where you are just dial up to the internet ...

sure just setup the source on the remote machine. If you are a windows user then Remote desktop connection would be all you'd need to call into it. If you are using *nix then use SSH.

Re: Still a bit confussed

I'm sorry man, i'm tryin to do this remotely and it's kinda hard.

So, localhost:8000 needs to be the name of the machine that the software is on? So if that machine is called 'main' then it should be like, main:8000 ? is that right?

it just needs to be the address of the server, usually an IP ...

P stands for pointer, it's not significant unless you write third party utilities for SHOUTcast.

not sure what you mean by your second question, there is no way to make your connection to the server "stealth"

It really depends on how you want to distribute the load, look in SHOUTcast's readme and configuration file for instructions on how to setup the on-demand part of the server.

Typically anything with Streamripper in it, if someone is connected twice with Winamp and then a second player named "Freeamp/4.0" that would be a streamripper, and anything else you don't like about the user agent, to be honest there really is not a 100% full proof way to know if you are being ...

As for your first issue, it's covered in the FAQ: http://www.radiotoolbox.com/docs/faq/index.php?p_id=1#10

When you click Add server you are supposed to type whatever you want in there, localhost:8000 is there as an example, but as it's an edit box you are free to change it to the right location ...
