Re: Play Now Info Missing
Hi,
The playing now information is provided by the encoder. It should already be there.
What exactly are you trying to do?

The ability to list there will be determined by Radionomy. So far we have not heard back from them.

How would you like to be able to use Steamcast?
So, as the title asks, how would you like to be able to use Steamcast?
If you can provide my hypothetical situations for your usage of Steamcast it could inform me better as to what I should focus on. I'm going to try to add SSL support soon, then API support. Past that I would love to hear from ...

Re: CloudFlare flexible SSL
Can you put or PM a link that just goes directly to the server (bypasses CloudFlare)?
The only thing you need in Steamcast's configuration is: PortBase 80
That is it. For CloudFlare you need Flexible SSL turned on under the Crypto settings.
For the OS you need to make sure port reservations are ...

Re: CloudFlare flexible SSL
Hi,
I have now tested it with Ubuntu 16.04 (since its Debian Stretch based). Seems to work fine. You might see if a Apache or Nginx server is able to be seen by CloudFlare. Steamcast is at the whim of any firewalls that could be in the OS or the ISP. To Steamcast a reverse proxy like CloudFlare is ...

Re: Geolocation doesn't work
Use your SHOUTcast server's username and password. If you have multiple servers in one station then it'll ask per server. It'll show you the server it is trying to connect to right above the box for username.

Database Issues
Hi,
Just to let everyone know we had some issues with our database software, MariaDB. An attempt was made to upgrade (patch only) the software which resulted in corrupted databases due to constant crashing. We've switched versions (10.1 to 10.2) and it seems more stable now. We will continue to ...

Re: How can I stream 400 relayed radio channels to up to 90k customers?
Hi,
We do not have the hardware on hand to do those tests (Steamcast is free and makes no money for us to buy such hardware). But theoretically Steamcast itself should be able to handle this. There is no software limit on the maximum amount of listeners. We use C++11 Std lib classes like queue, map ...

Re: How can I stream 400 relayed radio channels to up to 90k customers?
Steamcast should perform very well in pure relay states. Ultimately how exactly it'll perform will depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, hardware, network connection, bitrate, how many stations, and how many listeners. In my internal testing environments I have been able to max ...

Re: In Radio Toolbox the account is inactive
Windows XP's end of life was back in April of 2014. It is missing vital updates to security that have happened since even before that date.
Windows XP only supports TLS 1.0 with very dated RC4 or 3DES ciphers. The browsers ship with their own SSL implementations but even they have stopped support ...

Re: In Radio Toolbox the account is inactive
This appears to be an issue with Windows XP.
Windows XP does not support modern cryptography and SNI for SSL.
We've added a cipher that should work with Windows XP. Please try now.
