It seems it's not making a pid file. I guess that's not surprising. It did make a steamcast.log and steamcast-w3c.log.

won't start on linux enterprise 3

hmm, I'm doing a simple config, and a couple of weird things are happening and it's not running. I'm going to download it again and try again before I elaborate. The short version is that I'm getting a whole bunch of these "[serv] WARNING: unrecognized configuration input on line 263", and...

I see you've got an intro mp3 in there now. (on the smooth jazz one, the one I usually listen too). Is that your voice?

My fingers are crossed for an extra special halloween treat in my bag tonight! :)

Good stuff Jay. You da man!

Does revolving relay mean you can specify a list of relay sources, and if one goes bonk, it goes to the next one on the list? And I guess it goes to the top of the list again if it reach the bottom? That would be cool. I've listened some yesterday. When I checked it out, I saw most of your mounts ha...

just type ./steamcast the & means put the task in background. leaving off the & will have it run in the foreground, and you can use control C to stop it. you should be able to see any errors. keep in mind you need to be in the right dir when you type ./steamcast. that's not your problem is it?
