At 32kbps the latency is most likely due to the buffer. Steamcast currently has a hardcoded buffer size. This will be adjustable in future versions.

With SourcePublicX the only valid values is "Always" or "Never", as its an override. Otherwise, it defaults to whatever ICY/ICE public flag it gets from the Source.

Some hosts block certain outbound ports. Especially if they use something like ConfigServer Security & Firewall. So it'd only be able to connect if your Steamcast was on a standard port like port 80.

What this is stating is your computer doesn't trust the certificate on our server. This certificate that the Radio Toolbox application is communicating with is a LetsEncrypt certificate. You can see a similar certificate in use here . If your using IE or Chrome it should say its not trusted because ...

Ok, I believe 1.0.2 will have fixed this problem for you. We had a Socket leak that would allow Steamcast to fail to close sockets on Linux. This has been fixed in an update build of 1.0.2 as described in the announcement.

We just pushed a small, but very important, update to 1.0.2 for Linux that fixes a Socket leak.
It is advised that anyone using the Linux builds updates to it. On the About page for this update the build date will show as January 11, 2016.

The new 1.0.1 release should handle this condition better. By properly warning that the system is not allowing it to open anymore IO handles.
