Volume leveling
Volume leveling
Hi. This is probably a very basic question, but perhaps someone might be willing to spend a minute to answer it:
How do you make all the songs in your stream play at a consistent volume level?
FYI, I have set up an on demand stream on my web server with MP3tools, and it works like a charm. Thanks for a great program! I ripped the songs from CDs using MusicMatch. I selected the volume leveling option, but I think it is only relevant if being played on MusicMatch. My users will use whatever they have.

mp3 trim has this capability and it does this to the actual audio data. There may be others that are free or easier to manage but mp3 trim is what I have been using.
For ripping I highly recommend CDex it has volume normalizing as well that occurs in the mp3 itself not as some value that can only be read by one player.
