odd i guess it isn't throttling the mp3 for whatever reason.

I just have like four or five 32kbs mp3s that I'm testing. It streams them, but the CPU just goes through the roof. Also tested with 128kbs songs as well on two different windows machines. I think I'm going to have this running on Red Hat, and then relay it to my Windows 2003 server where the DNAS is. Not ideal for me, but it will work, unless you have any other suggestions?

ah I bet it is because I used a unix specific time function such as usleep().
