Weird Sound

Post by planetradious » Sun Oct 15, 2006 6:34 pm

Hey there,

I started using MP3 ToolBox to run my radio stream, and its working and all. But, it has an odd sound with the stream. Check it out, http://audio.extremeradio1077.com/radio ... lename.pls

It sounds like its under water or something, when I play the files by themselves or the directory it sounds fine. Only with the radio feature does it do this.

By the way, im using XMMS because im on Linux. If it works better on Winamp let me know.

I also tested it with Real Player on Linux and got the same result.

must be something in the stream that is effecting the mp3 decoder on linux. I tuned in on winamp and it sounded great. For best results make sure everything is encoded with the exact same profiles.

So with Winamp it sounded like any other stream? Well thats good news at least I know its good with Winamp users. Hmmmm only if I knew what was affecting XMMS on Linux. Thanks Jay.
