Serious Buffering Issue

Post by planetradious » Mon Nov 06, 2006 7:35 pm

Jay, maybe you or someone else can give me another test. On my Windows XP Pro system using Winamp 5.13 I am having serious buffering issues and I have tried trimming back on my bitrate which ive tried 192k, 128k, and im at 96k right now.

Every 5 seconds it rebuffers. Now my stream worked fine for me before up till last night.

Your collection of music is likely too large, cut back on the amount of tracks in the radio portions and see how it behaves.

That did the trick. I had 4 folders within the actual music directory that I added later and I think thats what sent it into confusion like that. Maybe I should only just add tracks right into the main directory from now on.

By the way, is there anymore work on MP3 Toolbox? Because if I remember right its in beta, correct? Just curious. Thanks Jay.

most of my work load (what I have left from actual daytime job work) is going into steamcast at the moment. Mp3 Toolbox has been shelved because the source is all right there for the community to enhance. Truly wish there was more of me to go around.

Thats okay man, because the MP3 Toolbox is an awesome script. For those who cant or dont have the resources to run a live 24 hour 7 days a week stream from their home or business computer can throw this script into the directory on their web host and some mp3's and there you go you have a station. So its a nice script, one of its kind I havent found any others that come close to this.

I have one more question and it might have been asked but I cant find extaly what im looking for.

I was trying to use the playlist feature to run promos and sweepers. But when I turn the playlist feature on, nothing works. My Winamp then just says "Connecting..." but never connects. Any idea?
