left hand column to my page

How do I add a left hand column to my page so it fits in with the rest of my site?

I know nothing about PHP so can somebody help

you wouldn't need to know php, just html and the template is all that is needed to add something like that, look at my demo, that is the exact same thing you have. Knowledge of php to modify the template is not neccessary but it helps. Visit www.php.net for more info.
