Easiest way to make a lower bitrate relay?

Steamcast is a stand alone server that combines the features of SHOUTcast and Icecast2 and more to make one mega awesome server.

Easiest way to make a lower bitrate relay?

Post by deepakhj »

I'm using the latest Steamcast with Oddcast V3 DSP standalone. I have it setup for 128kbps right now, no problem.

Now what I'd like to do is also setup a 24kbps relay of the same source.

Is there a program that will let me do that easily? Or can I do it in Steamcast?

Thanks!

in this instance you would just setup another encoder in oddcast v3 and have it connect to another mount on steamcast.

When I try to connect with the second encoder, it says error with lame_enc.dll

I'm guessing because the file is in use already?

I figured it out. I needed to put 22050 for the sample rate for 24kbps. :)
