Down and restart server from php?

Hello to you all!
2 questions:

1. Question:
I read, that Steamcast will provide a possibility to down and restart the server from extern. so please what exactly do i have to code, to start, down and restart the server from a php skript?

2. question:
is Steamcast able to stream a playlist that is placed in a folder on the server?
Lets say i have 20 songs in a folder and have written a playlist to play them. Can Steamcast load this playlist and stream the songs from it?
If not - is there a posibility to make this?
At the moment i have to constandly stay online with my pc to serve a strem, but it woudl be great if I could go offline some times and the server stil streams on (No onDemand but real streaming)

yes both of these features are currently being developed. THe restart and capability you should be able to do with teh provide steamcast.pid file.

Restart is possible with the pid - Yes but not from a php skript. as the script is running with a diffrent user (wwwrun).

Exiting stuff - As i know now, that you develope such things, we will definatly switch from shoutcast to Steamcast. The only little thing wich makes me a bit headache is the fact, that the listen url is now ending with mp3 not .pls - so now i have to inform my whole community to change thier urls after i have changed to steamcast.

again listen.pls will continue to work in steamcast as it did in shoutcast. The only thing that will not work is if anyone in your community relies on the 7.html page as I have no intention of including a feature like that in steamcast.

ok - ive seen it - it was something misconfigured in my homepc and therefore it did not work - It works just excelently - thanks - IoSono Stupido - sorry
