steamcast - nsv encoder automate the capture

Post by g00gle »

Hello,
I would like to automate the capture using command line scripts. I am using steamcast in linux and trying to source from windows. I tried this command but video is going fine but no audio. Please help me how to configure/tune the audio.

nsvenc cap:1,0 sc:<steamcast_server_ip>:8000:headers.txt

If i do the same with NSVCap GUI it works. I checked the audio and video there seems to be correct. Any help would be appreciated.

I refered this forum

if I remember correctly shouldn't you have your cap set to 1,1?

and you are sure you only have one audio device? If you are streaming from a webcam or firewire device then it may have it's own handle.

hmm that odd, the tuner I have has it's own audio handle but if it worked in NSVcap then something is different, in NSVcap do you just specify that device and it works fine? You may want to hit up the NSV forums at winamp. As nsvenc is their product. Something buggy between nsvenc and nsvcap or some setting is different.
