Shoutcast listing

Hi,
just a question
somehow i cant get it managed to get listed at the shoutcast dir
i can see the servers at the icecast listing and the steamcast listings
what could be wrong?

got it working now... dont ask how mabe shoutcast had some strange shit going on... the need 30 min anyway for the listupdates..
The servers running fine now 4% cpu load on server2003 with 2 stream servers and 2 winamps with sc plugin (couldnt find any better solution yet) any ideas ?
i really like the web interface especially the admin
am i right that i can block the double connects from 1 ip ?

if yes then im kinda super thankfull

hi,

i am currently streaming / broadcasting to shoutcast using shoutcast server.

i have downloaded streamcast already but dont know wht needs to be configured.

please guide me through setup so that i can also strat streaming to streamcast, shoutcast and icecast.

HI,

below is the error i am getting. this system is totally different to the way shoutcast works.

do i use same port 8000 / 8001 for both Shoutcast and Icecast

In Oddcast what do i put in there for Mountpoint.

i made changes to the streamcast.conf but not sure if i done it correctly.

i have read the help files provided but it just went over me head.

please gust provide some simple instructions for Shoutcast and Icecast. is it possible that someone can help me setup using messenger service (ICQ, MSN or Yahoo messanger)

if you are more familiar with shoutcast's DSP plugin you can use that to source the steamcast server. The mount point is not important or relevant to steamcast so you can put whatever you want. Mount points are assigned by the password passed to the server. So make sure all of your passwords in the steamcast.conf file are different.

got the Admin and password bit ( i had the sameones b4).

now could you please provide me the settings if i want to broadcast to Steamcast, Shoutcast and Icecast using either , oddcast plugin or shoutcast plugin.

i preffer i you provide for both of them. thanks.

Well for icecast and shoutcast you will need to refer to their documentation on how to configure those servers.

there is no option for steamcast in oddcast settings.

you can use oddcast with steamcast just fine. where it says to pick server type, you can choose either shoutcast or icecast. the rest should be obvious.

ok thats good, but its still not obvious, so how can i stream to steamcast, can i list in directory and do i use icecast2 server or steam cast server.
