Creating passworded users of a stream on steamcast

Post by Revo »

Sorry if I'm in the wrong section but how do I create a database of say 50 users with differing passworded urls on a stream. ie they all view a stream via the url but after changes the url reflects their own username and password. How do I achieve this on steamcast. Is it down on the steamcast page or do I need to make alterations on the server files by using winscp. Please can someone assist.

Log into the administration panel via a web browser and then click on User Table. You can add as many users as you like and assign them to a particular mount.

Ok I've done that. Do I need to change the steamcast config file on the server or anything else so as to block any other urls other than those on the user table?

You just need to make sure that SourceAuth=Yes in your config file under the mount you wish to secure.
