Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
My SAM utterly crashed and I had to reinstall. Before this, my Steamcast stream showed up fine in the Audiorealm directory. Now, I can't get it back in there. I put the following into my SAM statistics relay panel:
Host: localhost
Port: 8002
Username: admin
Password: hackme (I also tried the Source password from the encoder and steamcast.conf)
What did I enter incorrectly?

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
You will need to provide your mount username and password not the admin. Apart from that you will need to contact Spacial with your issue because we have no control over listing in that directory nor did we have anything to do with the statistics relay product.

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
In steamcast.conf, I see User: Encoder, so I changed User to Encoder in the SAM stats relay panel. Now, I get this error message:
Inactive (401: Error parsing xml document...)

Login to the steamcast web panel. Can you see your xml sheet in your browser?

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
My stream has worked fine on Steamcast for many months? What is the Steamcast web panel? I never used it.

Are there any errors being displayed? If no, then you will need to contact SpacialAudio directly on this issue.

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
Like I said, the stream works fine, so there are no errors. The problem is the stats relay. No answers forthcoming on the SpacialAudio Discussion Board. They'll help out with .mp3, .wma, but not icecast streams.

I just tried it myself in my SAM install and it gathered the stats from steamcast fine. What is your stream address?

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
k I tried it with my copy of SAM which is v4.2.2 and it took it fine using your admin username and password.
I know this may seem simple but make sure you are choosing the Steamcast Statistic Relay plugin, using the wrong plugin could be causing this.

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
I am using an icecast statistic relay panel set to port:8002, which is the Steamcast port. Is that what you mean by the "Steamcast Statistic Relay plugin"?Jay wrote:k I tried it with my copy of SAM which is v4.2.2 and it took it fine using your admin username and password.

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
See that is the problem, you can't use the icecast statistic relay plugin. Icecast and Steamcast are totally different. Delete that entry and create a new one and make sure to choose Steamcast.

Re: Steamcast stream in Audiorealm directory
Still doesn't work. I am using:
Host: localhost
Port: 8002
User: Encoder
Password: [from steamcast.conf] -- also tried hackme
Mount: /live
Still no good.
