Problem with Steamcast Authentification

Post by hubertus223 »

Hello to all,

I am new here and have a problem with the Authentification settings of steamcast server.

I set the authentication

/live.m3u:User1:pass1
/live.m3u:User2:pass2

but when musicplayer connects to the stream it want to have user und password.

but everything i write into is not accepted so i can't hear the stream.

I tried "User1" and "pass1" or "User2" ans "pass2"

here steamauth.txt

; An example entry:
/live.m3u:User1:pass1
/live.m3u:User2:pass2

and here steamcast.conf
; SourceAuth: [Yes|*No]: Allows you to setup HTTP Basic Authorization on this
; mount point. All Authentication is currently file based. Please see steamauth.txt
; SourceAuth overrides the public bit and will force all SourceAuth'd streams to be
; private.
SourceAuth=Yes

I hope anyone can help me.

Best regards
Holger

Dump the extension in the name. Steamcast does automated extension assignments so it isn't necessary.
