Post by kaptnk »

Hey Jay!!

After upgrading from vBeta 1c to 1d, Radio ToolBox can no longer connect to my streams. Instead it states they are not on-line.

Any idead wht you may have change to cause this??

Great utility, by the way. Thanks!!

can you get to those station via a browser, more specifically Internet Explorer.

If you can copy and paste you config file on this topic, and I'll have a look at it, be sure to block out the RTB password if you use it.

BTW I will be switching from using the IE backend for good in beta 2 going to finally create my own sockets. Tired of the lack of control when it comes to problems like this.

Yes, I am able to listem to all my streams. The only thing that changed between working and not (I believe) is the upgrade to vBeat 1d. In case you did not notice from the subject, I am only having problems on my WiFi connection. My land based connections work fine.

I would also like to offer my progamming help. I program using MS Visual C++ V6.0 for a living and hobbie. I have used sockets to create my Winamp plug in that runs my Web Page.

Here is my configuration file:

Title1=Server Number 1
Length1=-1
File2=http://63.97.95.161:4000
Title2=Server Number 2
Length2=-1
File3=http://www.live365.com:80/play/128014

Length3=-1
File4=http://www.live365.com:80/play/246606
Title4=Server Number 4

I had a thought. Do use use a socket port in the range between 65000 and 65535?

The ports are arbitrary, therefore it could be possible for a port to be used that high but it is highly unlikely.

I run RTB from a WiFi here as well and have not noticed this problem at all. Maybe some of the enhancements in beta 2 will fix this problem.

Jay,

What are you using to generate the sig at the bottom of your posts. Is it using the same tech you used to create the gifs for shoutclub? I really would like something like this again...

its php, it uses the data sent in to Script Url in Radio ToolBox and then with php it is written into the GIF or PNG image.

WiFi Problems Solved!!

You'll never believe (or perhaps you knew). I had been running ZoneAlarm and due to my WiFi switch/hub I no longer need it. I had thought by not starting ZoneAlarm things would be as if it was not there. Well, good ole Cojo Nombie on NPR radio mentioned for a totally unrelated topic that ZoneAlarm needs totally removed to not have any affect. Once removed, RTB works just like a champ on all my PC's running various operating systems!!
