Ip address is changing

Hi. I have a shoutcast.com station and last night I realised every time I connected to my stream the ip address was always changing.
I realised that every time I dissconnected then reconnected to the internet then reconnected to the stream the ip changed. but every time I only disconnected from the stream not the internet it stayed the same.

I am thinking it changes every time you disconnect from the internet.

Can someone tell me why this is happening, and maybe even help on how to stop this.

this happens because you have a dynamic IP address that is given to you by your Internet Service Provider.

You will have to consult with your ISP about making the IP static or always the same, some will allow this for a fee some do not.
