Post by dainbramage »

Hey Jay, any chance of MPM/WMA stat support in the near future?

Spacial Audio appears to have released MPM Lite for free now, and are even allowing tools to hook to it via there web interface. There also exporting the data via XML which can be parsed pretty easily.
Example:
http://www.server.com:8008/xml/stats.xm ... d=PASSWORD

Output:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<MPM>
<status>
<code>0</code>
<message>OK</message>
</status>
<mediapoints><mediapoint>
<protocol>2.0</protocol>
<ID>761</ID>
<mediapointID>761</mediapointID>
<alias>nhbradio</alias>
<mediatype>2</mediatype>
<server>IP</server>
<viewpath>mms://www.host.com/mountpoint</viewpath>
<max_bwidth>-1</max_bwidth>
<cur_bwidth>136</cur_bwidth>
<max_clients>-1</max_clients>
<cur_viewers>2</cur_viewers>
<active>active</active>
<status>active</status>
</mediapoint>
</mediapoints>

</MPM>

Any chance of getting this in RTB? I've been trying to build a proxy of sorts that acts like a shoutcast status page, but puts in MPM information into the / page of shoutcast, but RTB doesn't seem to want to parse it correctly.

Yea I will be adding it to the next Radio Toolbox. The only problem is it is missing some stats, so I won't be able to fill out as much as I'd like.

I'd like RTB to be able to monitor my new WMA stream as well. :)
