router/port assistance required!

router/port assistance required!

i have been getting this error:

<05/29/06@15:00:30> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 67.163.203.214:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out).)


i have turned off all of my firewalls, and it seems that my router is what is interfering. my IP is not the one listed above.


i was hoping somebody could tell me how to get my router to forward the correct portbase to my computer?

make sureyou have forwarded port 8000 - 8001 to your local address on your pc.

what happens if your network password was changed and you don't know the password?

your in trouble....

reset the router to factory defaults and that may help...

how do i go about setting it to the defaults?


the router is a d-link, model DI-524 if that info is needed

check the manual or the manufacturers website for how to configure the router,

Unfortunately itsnot a model i am familier with...
