help me(non-static ip and no song names in winamp index win)

Post by bobska82 »

hi
i have a problem because of my non-static ip and shoutcast. when i test my stream it perfectly streams, but i never get the song titles!
i read in another forum that i must call some url and update the song title info, but as i don't have a static ip - or does this have nothing to do with it - i can't update the info!
is it this or am i wrong? please help!!!!

try just useing your local loop back address 127.0.0.1 that will always remain the same and if you have the DSP on the same system just use that address and your server should have no problem with titles, also make sure that IPSrc in the config of the SHOUTcast server is set to ANY

thanks for your help, i considered this first and
then i installed an older version of the dsp-plugin from nullsoft
and it worked fine. the only thing i'm worried of now is that the update of the "song now played" status line on shoutcast.com is very slow, when people want to tune in in some song, i already play another one. can you help?

hmmm well the shoutcast.com list is its own seperate entity, it is given the info about your stream by your server at an interval set by the shoutcast.com administrator. I am afraid you have no control over the reliability of the current song at shoutcast.com

Hi,

I have a static Ip too, but i use the free service of http://www.no-ip.org

Thay have a tool that automatic updates your changing IP while your address stays the same.
