Basic question about CD playing

Post by herranz »

I know this will sound too basic and maybe stupid to the most expert broadcasters, but after more than a year this is the first time I'm trying to do this: I want to play some CD's in my PC and broadcast them directly at the same time, without ripping them first. Is this possible? Because Winamp DSP is not letting me do that.

Excuse me again for the much too basic question and thanks for the help

you can try the CD_Reader plugin for winamp, this actually processes the audio through Winamp, so you can use DSP's EQ, and other stuff on the signal. Or you can set the DSP to live mode and record it as it is coming off your sound card.

Thanks as always, Jay :) Now my only problem is that my Winamp lost the ability to retrieve info from CDDB, but I will try to pass this inconvenient someway

I couldn't get CDDB to give me the info :( Any ideas how can I recover that? It seems that the CD_Reader overrode my current CDDB settings :(
