Icecast/Shoutcast stream feed

Post by bcasci »

Hello

Does anyyone know of any sort of script based feed for Icecast or Shout that will run on both Linux and Windows? I woudl like to create my own mp3 streamer for Ice/Shout-cast with either PHP or Python.

I did manage to get something called Pyshout, which is a Python wrapper for the libshout C API. But I could not get this to work on Windows, only Linux.

Are there any such streamers written in just Python or PHP and are cross platform?

thanks.

I think I have a similar question. I was wondering if there is any documentation around to allow me to interface directly with the Shoutcast DSP to stream directly to the SHOUTcast server --> Live365? I'm writing an app in Visual Basic. ANy help would be appreciated.
