Problems with PING + streaming from LAN ?

Post by prodeos »

I'm successfully running station on one of my comps in a LAN and server on a MAIN comp. Everything is fine and I have plenty of OUTSIDE listeners. The problem is that it seems to make my PING go to HELL ??? it jumps from 20ms to 1000ms when I ping my ISP. Happens when a few listeners are connected. I disconnect the server and the PING goes back to normal ??? What is the solution to this problem ?
The second question is: Is it possible to run a station from a LAN and be visible to outside listeners using the IP like 192.168.0.1 I have no firewalls, but I was unable to set it up to run on it's own without the RELAY server on the comp that is directly connected to internet via cable connection. In short: Is it possible to cast from a comp in LAN without the RELAY server ?

THANK YOU
