<01/10/05@12:00:57> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 65.165.85.55:7999) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

again, windows XP firewall, disabled, using norton internet security firewall, but have enabled ALL connections, i even turned it off, still not working

i tested my ports and it seems that port 8000 and 8001 are not open , but when i tested 7999, this is what it showed:

65.165.85.55:7999 is Closed

Reason Given: Connection refused
More about this error: This essentially means that the port is open to the internet but has no services associated with it. There is no firewall protection on this port

so, i directed my connection on port 7999, and still nothing, wht's the problem? i DONT HAVE A ROUTER, again.

please help, i think is something with port forwarding, but i'm not sure what it is.

you have to disable all firewalls when hosting dnas on a local system
or u can get a router and enable port fwding and the problem should be fixed

your host might have you in a private network, even though you don't physically own your own router, some campus networks and other system just use a private network to get all their users online.
