installing steamcast on dedicated server

hi i download steamcast on my dedicated server
and its on the default port 8000
if i got to http://127.0.0.1:800 i can see the steamcast web control

but if my friend tries to access it on the internet by puttin my servers ip:8000 nothing comes up
can someone help i have to stream on sunday. thanks

im using windows 2003 server standard edition btw

is the port 800 or 8000?

the port is 8000. i typed it wrong above.

It sounds like you have a firewall problem. Check your firewall settings and make sure that 8000 traffic is allowed to enter the machine.
