need the mount point explained and other

Post by eloaded »

I am having some trouble understanding 2 settings in the steamcast.conf
1) sourcemount - what does this mean? Mine says /live.mp3, does this mean for people to get to my steamcast status page they got to this link http://eloaded.dyndns.org:8000/live.mp3 i find that http://eloaded.dyndns.org:8000 also shows some type of page.
How is the playlist made up. I know in shoutcast it is listen.pls what is it for steamcast

2)OnDemandDir - what is this for and how can I use it?

3) Can I stream more that 1 stream

Thanks in advance

1) SourceMount is the reference mount for that particular stream
so yea you got it right. The .pls file is just a playlist shoutcast's mounts are always root or /.

2) Ondemand doesn't work well in steamcast yet. I don't advise messing with it.

3) Yes, just setup multiple SourceMount definitions. read the docs at http://www.radiotoolbox.com/docs/ it goes into more detail on how to setup multiple mounts.
