delay listen and song that\'s playing

I have a terrible delay in what the server is sending for stream and what is winamp realy playing
Sometimes the time difference is 3 min !

Is there a way to get an almost real-time feeling ?

Use the sourcebuffutil param in the config file to set the amount of buffer to 0 to get closer to real time.

So I tried it out.
Still a deleay of 2 min and 45 sec.

But I can live with it.
The status page I build around checks about the 3min so that is also behind now.

The only thing I could think off , of this delay, is maybe because I don't use a soundcard (yet)
Could it be that songs are playing too fast with the out_null plugin ?
Or is this bullshit ?

well a lot of it depends on the bitrate but 2minutes still seems high, but this could be due to the huge buffer I added in this version. I am pulling back the buffer size for the next version to a more appropriate level.

You mean the bitrate for streaming ?
For the statistics, the delay is now 2:48min. with a AAC+ bitrate of 48kbps

BTW great quality AAC+ even on 24kbps.
But I noticed I never have listeners maybe because of the low bitrate even it's very good quality in my opinion.
Must be the music I play
