well I am currently writing and putting together a solution to this problem. I am gearing up the website to better serve those who are serious about webcasting and the way they present their content to their users.

For now you have two options to your question if you need something right now, check out SAM at www.audiorealm.com or check out Oddsock's Do something at www.oddsock.org

Thanks Jay.
Is there also a possibility to show dynamically how much listeners you have, just like shoutcast shows:?:

Thanks in advance.

yes, our old scdc tool had a mechnism built in for just this purpose. Enough people wanted it so it's making a come back in a more versatile form.

New goodies.

Jay, I can't get a response from Bryan or Louis on this, but can you make it so your SCDC replacement allows for listener counts from relays WITHOUT the need for passwords? I have a relay that the owner will not release the password to the server. Something that would maybe pull a listener count from a cluster would be excellent. Also, are you considering the different types of matrices available for real time stats?

Thanks,

yes I had invented a mechnism with SCDC for tracking stats. I cannot say too much because we want to keep alot of our tricks a secret until the right time. Someone has already copied the ShoutClub tools and ideas, I don't want this to happen for my future project.

Rest assured that many of the features you enjoyed in SCDC will be back again soon plus some. I have been stewing over many many enhancements to the old system. I think that many who liked SCDC will love RTB

Well I cannot say when it will be ready, the truth is that school is in session on the busiest semester for me so I can only work on this during free times, which doesn't happen to often. My hope is that it will be soon, very soon.

No, the SCDC application was very dependent on our server for information to run, therefore it is impossible to run it at this point. This new application will not be nearly as dependent, and if you buy it, completely independent of our system.

Another thing is that I am hoping that shoutcast 1.8.7 or 1.8.8 comes out soon, in it they added some features that will allow my tool to be much more based on real time. Unfortunately these admin features will not be available for Live365 users.

well actually there will be both. You can pay a subscription which will keep your software updated and give you tiered options. Or you can pay a flat fee for a stand alone application.

I also plan on making a basic version which will follow the shoutclub model of payment. That being a link on a website.
