Segmentation fault
Hi all,
i need help to solve this problem:
Steamcast is terminating sporadically since today with a segmentation fault and I'm not able to determine why:
madmin:/var/log# cat messages | grep steam
Jun 10 08:04:09 golf312 kernel: [4948741.773784] steamcast[4463]: segfault at 83b3000 rip f7e3554c rsp f3d8875c error 4
Jun 10 13:11:39 golf312 kernel: [4959002.102260] steamcast[7686]: segfault at 81d7000 rip f7e3e54c rsp f65a7c1c error 4
Jun 10 20:22:09 golf312 kernel: [4973355.292782] steamcast[9596]: segfault at 81fc000 rip f7eb654c rsp f3e05c8c error 4
Jun 10 20:22:09 golf312 kernel: [4973355.313361] steamcast[9590]: segfault at 81fc000 rip f7eb654c rsp f6e20c1c error 4
System:
madmin:/var/log# uname -a
Linux 2.6.24-23-generic #1 SMP Mon Jan 26 01:04:16 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
There were no hardware changes or anything else
madmin:/var/log# uptime
21:22:38 up 103 days, 10:29, 3 users, load average: 0.39, 0.42, 0.42
Steamcast is running since near four months without any problem.
Configuration (maybe this is important)
1 Shoutcast-Relay for Steamcast
1 Steamcast with 2 sources (high and low quality)
The high quality stream is relayed from the shoutcast source directly, the low is served by StreamTranscoder.
Has anyone an idea?
I don't want to switch back to shoutcast completely

PS: sorry for my bad english

Re: Segmentation fault
I have that too, same problem on my server. And, I'm not listed anymore on ShoutCast as well...
Are you using the RAW source as well? I do...
Jay, it seems there is a IP stack problem, can this be the libc (gcc) you are using when compiling steamcast?
