We are pleased to announce the release of Steamcast 1.0.2 decennium.

This is a bug fix release with better handling of termination signals. This has been tested on CentOS 5/6/7 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

We just pushed a small, but very important, update to 1.0.2 for Linux that fixes a Socket leak.

It is advised that anyone using the Linux builds updates to it. On the About page for this update the build date will show as January 11, 2016.

Are there any plans to allow the new Decennium platform run as a service like the old 0.99 did? Running on a windows server, it was really nice having the service run in the background regardless of whether the server had been logged into or not.

Steamcast does this already. You can do this by checking the "Install as a Service" option in the Windows installer or by opening an command window as Administrator and running:

"C:\Program Files\Steamcast\steamcast.exe" -k install-service

and then run the command

"C:\Program Files\Steamcast\steamcast.exe" -k start

to start the service.
