the firewall is already off. i was reading on the icecast mailing list and found that the config file has a problem where it accepts connection only from local host which is specified in
<hostname>localhost</hostname>

<!-- You can use these two if you only want a single listener -->
<!--<port>8000</port> -->
<!--<bind-address>127.0.0.1</bind-address>-->

<!-- You may have multiple <listener> elements -->
<listen-socket>
<port>8000</port>
<!-- <bind-address>127.0.0.1</bind-address> -->
</listen-socket>
<!--
<listen-socket>
<port>8001</port>
</listen-socket>
-->
now it said to uncomment the 127.0.0.1 line but i dont know how to uncomment. any help..

Thanks
